Pricing Freshness

This page is the public mirror of the freshness signal our pricing-refresh cron writes to. The numbers below are pulled live from our provider database — nothing on this page is hand-maintained. If the cron hasn't run, or it ran but recorded an error, you can see that directly here. Listings become eligible for the next refresh once their last priced date is older than 30 days, which is the same threshold the orchestrator uses when it builds each monthly cohort.

Current freshness tally

The three numbers below describe the directory's pricing columns at the moment this page loaded. "Within 30 days" and "past 30 days" share the same four-way timestamp priority as the admin view (refresh stamp, per-row scrape, normalized pricing last-updated, and updated-at).

How listings are refreshed

Pricing data is refreshed by a monthly cron job, configured in polsia.toml and wired up in scripts/pricing-refresh-cron.js. The orchestrator reads our pricing_refresh_runs receipts table to decide which providers are in scope: any provider whose pricing was never refreshed, or whose last refresh is older than 30 days, is pulled into the next cohort. Listings can also move faster than the monthly cadence when a claimed provider edits their own pricing through the claim portal — those self-edits are stamped on the same column the cron reads, so counted as fresh the moment they land.

The cron's coverage is best-effort. Rows whose scraper requests fail are not re-scraped until the next monthly tick unless a manual run is triggered. A successful run still stamps pricing_last_refreshed_at for the whole cohort, so a partially-failed run keeps those providers out of the next tick by design — we'd rather show a slightly older number than hammer the same failing URL every day. We do not promise equal freshness across both groups; the exact form fields the cron touches and the per-column meaning are spelled out on our pricing methodology page, and the broader directory numbers (total providers, claimed vs unclaimed, pricing coverage per service) sit on transparency.
